From the Bright-Landry Hockey Center on
the campus of Harvard University this is ECAC Hockey on ESPN. Dominique
Petrie uses her speed winding through the neutral zone two-on-one now
cross-ice pass Della-Rovere. Big save by Rainville tipped in from behind score.
Harvard gets a one nothing lead I think it’s gonna be Petrie as she poked in the
loose puck. With a chance here to catch St. Lawrence on a change it’s Keely
Moy. Moy working has Jovanovich coming in front of her. Harvard will clear with
some skating room it’s Kristin Della- Rovere she’s been out there for a while,
but keeps it going in the shot right into Rainville’s glove and she’ll hold it.
Harvard wins the foot race with Kat Hughes. Hughes with it turns finds Della-Rovere
back to Hughes, she’s got a lot of space tries to go for the forehand backhand
move, but a great poke check away by Segedi. Petrie uses her speed circling
around the net waiting for it goes back to the point Peper’s shot scores!
Ali Peper finds the back of the net for the first
this season. Harvard has insurance it’s Harvard 2, St. Lawrence nothing. They
probably don’t care all that much about the empty net and here Becca Gilmore
going for it off the side of the net. Petrie giving chase [inaudible] passing
on Jovanovich has it inside the Harvard zone she’s got the open net, goes for
the backhand, puts it in the net. Harvard’s gonna win the season-ending game on Senior Day. And they have a three nothing lead with a buck 32.
The Crimson we’ll wrap up the regular season with a three nothing victory over St.
Lawrence today. Emily Yue gets mobbed by her teammates. Beth Larcom reports her
first shutout in over a calendar year and the Harvard Crimson go into the ECAC
playoffs with a three nothing victory.
